Faye Deane
I graduated from Dundee Dental School in 1999 and joined North Bridge Dental in 2021 after working in a large family practice for 20 years. I have a particular interest in helping anxious patients overcome their dental fears and building up a trust to enable them to achieve a smile they desire and deserve…

Michelle Fleming
Michelle first graduated with a degree in Human Biology from the University of Northampton in 2009, and then decided to pursue a career in Dentistry, graduating from the University of Dundee in 2014 with Honours. After completing her Vocational Training year in Dundee, she worked in mixed NHS and private practice in Edinburgh and Biggar and since 2019 has worked in a private family practice in Edinburgh. Michelle joined North Bridge Dental in 2023.
Michelle has a wealth of experience in general and cosmetic dentistry and has undertaken further training in Invisalign, restorative dentistry and facial aesthetic treatments. She really enjoys undertaking training and continuing to expand the range of treatments she can offer her patients. Michelle particularly enjoys working with nervous patients to help them build their confidence and complete any required treatment with minimal stress and maximum comfort.
She relocated to the borders in 2020 and loves exploring the beautiful countryside along with her two little girls, husband and labrador. When she gets some time to herself, Michelle enjoys running, reading and drawing.

Samuel U. Zhang
I graduated with a Master’s degree with Distinction from the University of Leeds in 2024.
I also hold a degree in Oral Science and have been part of the North Bridge Dental team since 2024. I have a strong passion for oral surgery and restorative dentistry, which has led me to pursue advanced hands-on training in these fields. I have had the privilege of learning from consultants and specialists in oral surgery, extractions, root canal treatments, and BPS suction-effective dentures. In my spare time, I always keep studying to continually improve myself, because I love dentistry and I love caring for my patients to the highest standard!
Outside of dentistry, I also enjoy music, arts, and sports. As a musician, I play the traditional Mongolian instrument, the Morin Khuur, and I’m proud to have won medals for my performances back in Mongolia. I love connecting with people, making new friends, and sharing the warm, welcoming spirit of Mongolian culture with others.

Andrew Wortley
Hi, my name is Andy. I graduated from Newcastle University in 2019. After my vocational training in Northern Ireland, I did a year in maxillofacial surgery in Southampton which sparked my interest in oral surgery.
I am deeply invested in patients having the best experience they can have and find that utilising sedation helps patients through this journey. My aim is for you to be as comfortable as possible whilst having a good experience at the dentist. Other than oral surgery I find general dentistry rewarding by maintaining patients’ oral health whilst optimising their smiles through aesthetics, implants and ceramics. I have been providing this care throughout Edinburgh and Lothians for the last three years and have settled here with my partner.
We love being able to disappear from city life into the hills and wonder along Munros. So far, I’ve done one… I enjoy a range of sports on the weekend, particularly hockey and squash. I am an avid supporter of the rugby six nations and hope to get some tickets one day!
